Company Policy

Cake Orders

• 3 weeks notice is advised to book your special celebration cake. Some customer prefer to book months in advance so your chosen date may be subject to availability.

• 6 - 12 months notice is advised to book your special wedding cake. Please check that your chosen date available.

• Late order cakes - In the event that you need a cake at a short notice, 7 working days (excluding weekends) notice is required. This is subject to availability. Every effort will be made to fulfill your order but please be aware that this means rearranging the work schedule for that week in order to create your cake. Any orders accepted in less than 7 working days will incur an additional £10 express fee and may require a simplified design.

Cakes

• All cakes are made of Madagascan vanilla sponge with butter cream and jam unless another flavour of your choice has been requested. No nuts or alchohol present. Other flavours will incur an extra charge.

• Some fruitcakes and carrot cake contain nuts. Fruitcakes contain alchohol. You must state at time of order if you prefer for your cake not to contain any of these.

• Vegan/dairy-free/eggless cakes are available.

• If you have ordered a buttercream cake (either filled or covered) you must keep it in a cool or air conditioned room during hot or summer months otherwise it will melt.

Payments and Terms

• For celebration cakes a 50% deposit is due on cakes over £100 and the balance is due 3 weeks before collection/delivery.

• We accept Klarna, all major credit and debit card, Paypal and bank transfer further details of these can be provided at time of booking.

• Full payment is due if your cake booking is within the 3 weeks to collection/delivery.

• Without a payment, your cake is not not booked in. This means that should the we become fully booked on your chosen date between the time you enquire and the time you pay, unfortunately it will not be possible to take on your order.

• For wedding cakes, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. Your deposit confirms you agree with our Terms and Conditions. Your wedding cake balance is due 3 weeks before your delivery/collection date. .

• Payments are processed through our Payment & invoicing system. A payment link & QR code or Invoice will be emailed to you at time of order.

Cancellations and Refunds

• Payments are non-refundable or transferable*.

• Cancelled cake order payments cannot be transferred onto another order.

• Every effort is made to ensure that your cake is of high standard. However, should you have any issue with your purchase, It must be notified within 2 hours of you accepting your cake. Your Cake/s, or part* of your cake/s, must be returned within two days so that your complaint can be fairly assessed. Alternatively a photo of your cake can be provided within 2 hours of accepting your cake.

• *Refunds can not be given on cakes whereby 50% or more of the cake has already been consumed.

Delivery and Collections

• For celebration cakes, delivery is available and collections are welcome.

• For wedding cakes, delivery is available throughout the UK.

• We do not deliver on Sundays and Public Holidays. Collections are not available on these days either.

• Delivery is available between 10am - 2pm Monday to Saturday unless a special arrangment has been made. Specific times can not be given.

• In the very rare occasion a cake delivered by us is damaged in transit they are usually easily repaired otherwise, if it is irrepairable, a full refund is given or another cake option if time permits. 

• Favoured Cakes is not liable for any damages once cakes are safely delivered or set-up.

• If you will not be home, deliveries can be made to your neighbour. Please specify your neighbours complete address. 

• Deliveries to Venues - I deliver to work addresses, halls and venues also. 

• Please note, I do not deliver to the following addresses:

  • PO Boxes

  • Tower Bridge Walkways, Tower Bridge Road, London, SE1 2UP

  • Tower Bridge Exhibition, SE1 2UP

  • Alternative delivery arrangements can be made.

• Delivery charges are subject to petrol price changes.

• For deliveries whereby a congestion or toll charge applies, this will be added to your delivery charge.
